In this film, Dr Sandhu talks about the structure and purpose of UKCDR and its unique ability to bring people in the development sciences space.

Dr Jasdeep Sandhu is Head of Chief Scientific Adviser’s Cabinet, Research and Evidence Division at Department for International Development (DFID). Dr Sandhu leads on UKCDR for DFID and is responsible for implementing some of the decisions that UKCDR make within the department.

Video: How does UKCDR contribute to development?

Professor Chris Whitty was appointed Chief Scientific Adviser for the Department of Health in January 2016. He was appointed Deputy Government Chief Scientific Adviser in April 2017 for an interim period. Prof. Whitty also sits on the board of UKCDS.
