On 8 March 2023, UKCDR held our Annual Stakeholder Event on the theme of ‘maximising the impact of global development research’. The event took place online.
Andrea Padilla, UKCDR Research and Policy Officer, provided crucial context on the topic during a presentation on UKCDR’s forthcoming analysis of the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021) results.
The event also featured a panel discussion, moderated by John Young, Executive Director of INASP, comprised of four impact experts:
- Professor Ernest Aryeetey, Secretary-General of the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA)
- Dr Joanes Atela, Director of the African Research and Impact Network (ARIN)
- Leanne Jones, West Africa Research and Innovation Hub Team Leader, FCDO
- James Georgalakis, Director of Evidence and Impact, the Institute of Development Studies (IDS)
