This workshop provided an early opportunity for stakeholders to come together to debate the key features of disaster risk management in an international policy landscape beyond 2015. The workshop had two objectives:

1. To identify the best opportunities, strategies and structures to effectively manage disaster risk within the post-2015 international policy landscape
2. To explore ways to work together to create a post-2015 policy environment that minimises disaster losses
