Dr David Orr
Safeguarding Expert
David is a Senior Lecturer in Social Work at the University of Sussex. His principal research expertise lies in the areas of adult safeguarding and of Global Mental Health. He has carried out fieldwork in Quechua-speaking rural communities in highland Peru, and has published widely on adult safeguarding, including three knowledge reviews for England’s Social Care Institute for Excellence. He is affiliated to the Centre for Social Work Innovation and Research.
