Applications are invited for Call 1 of the new NIHR Research and Innovation for Global Health Transformation (RIGHT) programme. Delivering challenge-led research that will primarily benefit the health and wealth of the poorest individuals living in low and middle income countries (LMICs), the RIGHT programme forms part of the nation’s commitment to Official Development Assistance (ODA) and complements recent investment in NIHR Global Health Research Groups and Units.
RIGHT is a two stage competition, subject to independent peer review and international panel assessment at both stages. The total amount of NIHR funding available for this competition is up to £30 million. Awards will typically range between £3m-5m over 3-4 years for ODA-eligible research to start in June 2019.
