As part of the UKRI GCRF Collective Programme the AHRC is pleased to announce the second of two calls to support international, interdisciplinary research partnerships.
This funding call will support fair and equitable partnership building activities which will develop interdisciplinary research capacity and capability in both the UK and developing countries, jointly and collaboratively and across career stages, and link this to development policy and practice. By investing more resources into understanding cultures, traditions, behaviours and social movements around food, we aim to enable more effective, ethical, sustainable and contextually-driven development outcomes in food systems, encompassing: production (agriculture and aquaculture), processing, transport, consumption, and disposal. Learning and knowledge exchange should be reciprocal with clear mutual benefits for all collaborators.
Funding of up to £2million is available to support a number of awards, each up to £200,000 fEC. The duration of these awards can be between 12 and 24 months.
