Safeguarding in International Development Research: Briefing Paper

This briefing paper presents draft principles and best practice guidance drawn from the findings of an evidence review, undertaken in March-April 2019 by a team led by Dr David Orr at the University of Sussex, looking at safeguarding in international development research.

We are inviting stakeholders across the international development research community – whatever your level or experience of safeguarding issues – to get involved in consultations that will be held as the next phase of the process and to provide feedback on the proposed principles and guidance.
