This report reviews frameworks for strengthening research systems, gives examples of policies to improve RCS systems, and analyses the landscape of organisations engaged in research management or RCS in sub-Saharan Africa.

The report was produced for the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) Knowledge, Evidence and Learning for Development (K4D) helpdesk to inform DFID policy on strengthening research systems.

British Council: Research Fellowships Programme – Cultural Heritage/Climate Action

The British Council is offering grants to support a programme of international research fellowships. There are two separate Calls for Proposals: one for fellowships on the theme of cultural relations and climate action, building on our The Climate Connection programme, and one on for fellowships on the theme of cultural heritage protection.
